Dr. Christopher J. Colombo is a physician, researcher, and healthcare consultant with over 20 years of experience in critical care, virtual health, medical simulation, and graduate medical education. A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, he has held leadership roles in critical care medicine, telehealth program development, and medical technology research.
Dr. Colombo was instrumental in developing the National Emergency TeleCritical Care Network (NETCCN), a federally funded disaster response telemedicine program. As Chief of Virtual Health at Madigan Army Medical Center, he led the expansion of telehealth operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, training over 1,300 clinicians and implementing virtual care as a primary care model.
An experienced educator, he has served as an Internal Medicine Residency Program Director and a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine. He continues to advance medical technology research while consulting on telehealth strategy, leadership development, and innovation in healthcare.
