David Muntz, a 35-year veteran of healthcare IT, is a Principal and co-Founder at StarBridge Advisors. He began his career as a biostatistician, rising to CIO and CEO at Wadley Research Institute and Blood Bank. He later served as SVP & CIO at Texas Health Resources and Baylor Health Care System before a White House appointment as the first Principal Deputy National Coordinator and CIO at ONC. Afterward, he became CIO of GetWellNetwork and served on its Board of Directors until its sale in 2018.

David has held over 25 Board positions and teaches two healthcare IT leadership courses in Baylor University’s EMBA program. He is a Fellow of CHIME and HIMSS and currently serves as Executive-in-Residence for the Scottsdale Institute. Recognized nationally for 25+ years in a row for innovation, he was awarded CHIME Innovator of the Year awards at 2 different employers. In 2014, David received CHIME’s CIO Legacy Award, a testament to his collaborative leadership and dedication.
